Music Afternoon Sunday 17 Nov - Garboldisham Village Hall

Garboldisham24v1 WEB 791x1024Music Afternoon Sunday 17 November - Garboldisham Village Hall, Church Road, Garboldisham IP22 2SE Doors open 13.30 Entertainment begins 14.00 finishing 16.00
We warmly invite you to another informal Music Afternoon on Sunday 17th November.  This time we have moved the venue from Suffolk over the border into Norfolk with the hope of encouraging even more people to find an interest in East Anglian Traditional Music.  We have hired Garboldisham Village Hall which is opposite the community pub in the village.  Its a pleasant, large, well equipped hall and has a car park.

If you think you would like to perform one or two pieces, whether they be tunes, songs, stories, stepdance or bringing along a jig doll or just wish to be part of the audience you will be warmly welcomed.

If you have not been to one of our music afternoons here's some background.  The doors will open at 13.30.  Performances start at 2 and are brought to a finish at 4 pm. Chairs are arranged in a circle with a space for anyone who wishes to perform in the centre or as many people do you can stay in your seat and 'do your bit'.  Ron Ross leads a short session of two or three tunes which anyone can join in with. Shirley Harry, our MC then gives each performer the chance to sing or play etc one or two tunes.  It is a very casual, friendly, comfortable afternoon, no pressure on anyone.  Teas, coffee and biscuits and cake are served for a small fee.  We finish at 4 pm but understand the community pub across the road will be open till 5 pm.

Please spread the word amongst your friends and acquaintances.

Entry is free but we do appreciate donations.
