LIZZY HARDINGHAM – Sat 12th October Canopy Theatre Beccles 7.30 p.m.
“A truly passionate and important voice.” BBC Radio Cambridgeshire
As a folk singer/songwriter Lizzy Hardingham performs songs that drive straight to the heart, giving audiences a chance for genuine connection, empathy and empowerment. Lizzy is a powerhouse performer with beautifully delivered songs and her voice grabs the listener from the very first note and holds on until the last.
After appearing as a finalist in 2018’s New Roots competition she has gone from strength to strength. Lizzy has had success in the Herts, Milkmaid Folk Club and Watford Folk Song songwriting competitions as well the Royston Young Artists competition. Her sensitively penned songs have been spun on radio stations throughout the UK, across the pond and in Europe.
She has supported the likes of Lady Maisery, Gilmore & Roberts and Bob Fox (to name a few) as well as performing her own headlining shows. She has previously been nominated for FATEA's coveted Female Artist of The Year and has been mentored by the English Folk Expo.
Lizzy first performed in Beccles in November 2022, promoting her Help Musicians UK supported record “How Did We Get Here?” released in October that year and full of deftly crafted songs. It won the FATEA Award for “Innovative Project of the Year”.
This autumn sees the release of a new EP, “Ginger Beer”, following the release earlier this year of “The Leaving” EP and a limited edition live EP.
