Next to the equally impressive & colourful Norwich Market in the City Centre stands the iconic 600 year old flint knapped & castellated, Grade 1 Listed Guildhall. Built in the 15th century as the seat of city government, it is the largest surviving civic building in the country outside London.
Located in part of this imposing building is dining establishment Cafe Britannia which transforms into a stylish events venue in the evenings. It is here that VIKKI CLAYTON PLAYS ON 25th JULY AT 8pm as part of her 'Back To Blighty' solo tour which runs in the UK from June to September.
Vikki has been a performer since the early '80s when she was noticed for her haunting vocals delivered with a voice that many thought resembled that of the late Sandy Denny.
She subsequently worked with many luminaries in the folk & folk rock world & is now a well established singer/songwriter/guitarist with a very successful solo career in her own right, living in New Zealand. She has six albums under her belt & released her latest album, 'Messenger', in 2017 which she is promoting on this tour, along with some fine examples of her back catalogue.
On 25th July Vikki is supported by the highly talented, Norwich-based, multi-instrumental trio, TANZ. Their music is inspired by the folk traditions of Eastern Europe & their delivery is accomplished & spirited. This is a night not to be missed if you can possibly help it!
